Teacher Application

The IMPACT LA Program is seeking science or math teachers for the 2013-14 school year. Priority is given to teachers from our partner schools: Hollenbeck Middle School, Stevenson Middle School, Roosevelt High School, and Stern MASS. Teachers will work closely with a graduate fellow to bring hands-on science, engineering, and math activities into the classroom. The graduate fellows, serving as visiting scientists and engineers, will co-develop with their partner teacher at least four activities related to their research. Through participating in the program, teachers will gain a better understanding of science and engineering, be exposed to cutting-edge research, and increase the number and variety of hands on activities to help engage their students in STEM. Current partner teachers are encouraged to re-apply.
